El maqui

Los mapuches lo han utilizado por siglos como medicina natural y, gracias a estudios científicos, se ha descubierto que ayuda a retardar el envejecimiento prematuro de las células y previene enfermedades crónicas como cáncer, diabetes, alzheimer y problemas cardiovasculares. Es posible encontrarlo en ferias del sur del país de forma natural o como mermelada.

La chirimoya

Originaria de Los Andes, esta sabrosa y aromática fruta se puede encontrar fresca en todo el centro del país, principalmente en las regiones de Coquimbo y Valparaíso. Comer chirimoya proporciona sensación de saciedad. Esto es ideal si estás buscando un alimento para luego de una rutina de ejercicios. También está recomendada para aquellas personas que sufren de estreñimiento, ya que tiene un efecto laxante. Gracias a su alto contenido de potasio, la chirimoya contribuye a mejorar la salud cardíaca. Además, es un regulador natural de la presión arterial.

Las aceitunas de Azapa

El Valle de Azapa en Chile es conocido por sus aceitunas, las cuales se han desarrollado en la región desde fines del siglo 17. Estas aceitunas se caracterizan por su sabor, tamaño, color y consistencia. Son nutritivas por su contenido rico en minerales como sodio, potasio, magnesio, hierro, fósforo y yodo. Contribuyen al aporte de calcio al organismo. También son antioxidantes gracias a sus vitaminas grupo B y sus provitaminas A y E. Aportan aminoácidos y vitaminas esenciales. Contienen ácido oleico, que posee propiedades beneficiosas para proteger el corazón.

Los expertos aconsejan ingerir 25 gramos diarios (aproximadamente 7 aceitunas) por sus importantes beneficios para la salud gracias a sus componentes.
